The Importance of Teamwork and Team Performance in Kingdom Work

We know that strong teamwork, team performance, and relational effectiveness are the foundation for any organization that seeks to honor God in its work. When teams are aligned, connected, and operating at their best, they not only produce excellent results but also reflect God’s principles of unity, service, and stewardship in every area of their work.

This is especially true for Leadership Teams, as their faith-filled leadership directly influences organizational growth, culture, and impact. As John Maxwell famously said: “Everything rises and falls on Leadership.” In a Kingdom context, the leadership of a team shapes not only the organization but also the ways it fulfills God’s purpose.

To help teams understand their current effectiveness, we have developed this Team Effectiveness Survey. It highlights key areas of purpose alignment, performance, and spiritual/relational health within your team. By reflecting honestly on these 10 questions, team members gain insight into strengths and opportunities for growth, enabling the team to serve with greater impact, integrity, and Kingdom purpose.
